Don't Miss Out!

The Lake sessions have started so come down and hone your skills, especially if you haven't paddled much over the winter. First session Wed 17th April 6.30 start.

Chairman's Statement

Welcome to the April newsletter. Firstly big congratulations to Dan and Lisa who recently got married (they met through HCC) and to Hayley and Jonny who have recently moved in together (also met through the club). Well done to Richard for passing his level 1 coaching qualification and to Dale for doing his level 2 training ready for his assessment in July.

The pool sessions went really well and were very popular this time, and well done to all the members who learnt to roll or gained new skills, they have now finished until the winter. The first lake session of the year is on Wednesday 17th April, this will be a recreational paddle with no structured coaching except for the first time people that may turn up.

Hope you have all found the new HCC website that Stuart Ritchie has created for us, it's full of useful information including a really good trip/events calendar so no one misses the events throughout the year that the coaches and trip leaders are putting on for us, the calendar is updated regularly so please keep an eye on it.

There are still places left on the FSRT and the First aid course, these are a very good price and highly recommended for all paddlers.

We still have the secretary/clubmark position vacant on the committee, if any one would like to get involved and help out? No experience needed just some enthusiasm and a bit of time needed.

See you on the water Dave
