Welcome to the October/November newsletter.
Well the lake sessions have now finished for this season and what a busy season it has been. We have had a record number of paddlers on the water with three 1 star courses, two 2 star courses, paddle power and lots of social paddling going on, well done to all the members that have improved their paddling skills and achieved star awards and paddle power awards this year. I would like to say a big thank you to all the coaches and helpers on and off the water for all the time, commitment and hard work you have put in, also a big thank you to Hayley for organizing and overseeing the whole seasons coaching.
The first group of paddlers have now finished their training and passed the 3 star assessment. Well done guys and thank you to the various coaches involved and Penny for doing the assessment. The seconds groups training started last month (so keep an eye on the calendar).
There has been various trips and events going on including the W/W safety day on the Dee and trips on the Soar, Avon, Nene, Trent( Network paddle), Dart and the Nene W/W centre. Some trip reports are on the website. The winter pool sessions have now started and are going well.
Looking forward we have plenty planned on the website calendar for this year and next, more pool sessions are booked for next year, and plenty of trips including a Christmas paddle, so let's wrap up warm and all get involved. See you at the Christmas meal Dave Clarke.
