Welcome to the October newsletter
The pool sessions have been going well, well done to the guys that have learn to roll. I apologise to the members that have been turned away due to so many turning up. As most members already know, there is now a booking system through Hayley Clarke. We have also had a few trips going on. Dan organised a Matlock introduction to White Water day. I took a big group on the Wye finishing at Symonds Yat East and Mick did a Tryweryn weekend for the more experienced members, so hopefully there has been something to suit everyone.
There are still a few places left on the annual HCC Christmas weekend away to Crickhowell in November (we need names and full payment for this a.s.a.p. please) And a few trips happening before Christmas. All the details are on the website.
Looking ahead to next year I am really looking forward to our new Home Waters at Stanton Lake where we will be from early April. Also next year we will be putting on a level 1 coaching course, an FSRT course, WWSR course and possibly a First Aid course as well if we get the interest. The AGM will be in February and we are planning an open day/fun day at Stanton in June.
See you all on the water - Dave Clarke |
