This relates to advertised tour dates of 19th and 20th March 2016.
Due to commencement of Fish Pass construction works at the second weir –Marston weir, we have reluctantly taken decision to cancel tour.
During works, there is no practical portage or ability to inspect weir at close quarters from river bank. Access and egress are also compromised at this location. This has changed risk assessment of tour. In event of raised river levels on planned weekend, the above could be brought into sharper focus!
This decision was reached reluctantly, but safety and due care of paddlers was paramount in forming ultimate cancellation.
